Requirements
• Experience with material application property analysis (viscosity, surface hardness, adhesiveness, durability, surface characterizations, etc.) of polymers and macromolecular compounds
• Strong research experience in multi-step organic synthesis
• Intimate knowledge of molecular and polymer analytical techniques (NMR, MS, HPLC, SEC, UV-Vis, IR, fluorescence, GC, titration)
• Knowledge in synthesis scale-up and optimization to the kilo scale
• Solid understanding of product development
• Ability to write and execute research proposals and project plans
• Knowledge of dendrimer chemistry helpful

Description
The Materials Development Scientist - Chemistry position is responsible for developing and testing new and existing materials in DNT’s Priostar® dendrimer product portfolio. This position requires exceptional technical skills in material science, organic chemistry, and/or polymer science. Expertise in cosmetic or industrial coatings formulation development and product scale-up desired.

The Materials Development Scientist position is also responsible for planning and performing laboratory production of dendritic materials to ensure the feasibility of processes and techniques for manufacturing scale-up. This position will prepare materials study reports to assist DNT scientists.
This position requires a person who is self-motivated, independent, team-oriented, and finishes assignments within given timelines.
